HELP, CLARITY AND ACCOUNTABILITY

Safeguarding & information centre

Find the right help, understand account protections and see which assurances still need documentary review.

Our safeguarding promise

This centre brings together account safety, data information and routes to help. It also makes clear which documentary assurances still need review.

Using this centre

Choose an audience or search for a topic. Formal policy documents remain separate from this overview.

Keeping children safe

If something on the platform makes you uncomfortable, speak to a trusted adult.

Choosing learning resources

An adult can help you choose resources and check that the activity is right for you. A catalogue label is not a guarantee that every activity suits every learner.

For parents and carers

Use your own account to support the children linked to your learning space.

Your family dashboard

Linked learner views depend on current permissions. Account preferences and notifications are separate from subscription-owner controls.

For schools and trusts

Schools need clear responsibilities, current staff access and appropriate pupil settings.

Documents for your organisation

Data-controller and processor roles, agreements and sub-processor information need approved documentation. This centre does not establish or certify those arrangements.

How we protect data

Technical controls and documentary assurances are different kinds of evidence.

Data minimisation and retention

The exact data inventory, retention schedule and deletion process require documentary review. No fixed retention period is asserted here.

Current staging controls

  • Secure connections

This staging site uses HTTPS to protect information in transit.

  • Staff sign-in protection

Staff administration requires a verified staff session and multi-factor authentication.

  • Scoped learning records

Current account and relationship checks control access to learner records.

  • Protected saved learning

Native learning records use authenticated encryption in the current staging database.

Accounts, sign-in and access control

Keep staff and learner accounts separate and use the permissions appropriate to each person.

Managed and subscription-owner accounts

Managed users can adjust supported personal preferences. Subscription and learning-space administration depends on explicit current account permissions.

Infrastructure, hosting and firewall

A hosting provider name alone does not prove security or legal compliance.

Infrastructure assurances

Hosting location, firewall coverage, recovery arrangements and sub-processor terms need current evidence. No blanket hosting or firewall certification is claimed.

Governance and compliance

Evidence should support each assurance before it is published as verified.

Documentary review still required

DPIA, ROPA, Children’s Code alignment, safeguarding appointments, audit guarantees and certification require reviewed evidence. User-reported teacher checking is not recorded certification.

Documentary assurances: review required

Your data rights

Report a concern or contact us

Use emergency and official reporting routes for urgent child-safety concerns.

Immediate risk

If a child is at immediate risk, call 999. GOV.UK explains other reporting routes, including the local council’s children’s social care team.
